Data Protection and Cookies
Last updated: October 2026
When you visit https://www.croisieurope.travel/en, cookies and other trackers may be placed on your device. Some are essential for the website to work; the others are only used with your consent. This page explains which ones we use, why, and how you can change your mind at any time.
Who are we?
This website is published by Alsace Croisières – CroisiEurope SAS, 12 rue de la Division Leclerc, 67000 Strasbourg, France. Simplified joint-stock company (SAS) with a share capital of €2,000,000, Trade Register no. 76B 115, travel agency registration no. IM067100025. Contact: info@croisieurope.com – +33 3 88 76 44 44.
CroisiEurope is responsible for the processing linked to the cookies it places. Partners who place their own cookies are responsible for how they use them.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file saved by your browser on your device (computer, tablet, smartphone) when you visit a website. It allows your browser to be recognised for as long as the cookie remains valid. On this page, the term “cookies” also covers similar trackers: pixels, tags and locally stored identifiers.
Only the issuer of a cookie can read or modify the information it contains.
What do we use cookies for?
We group them into three categories. Only the first is placed without your consent.
Strictly necessary cookies (no consent required)
These allow the website to function and cannot be switched off. They are used to:
-
remember your cookie choices;
-
log you in to your “My account” customer area and keep your session secure;
-
keep your selection while you request a quote or make a booking;
-
adapt the display to your device (language, screen size);
-
protect the website against fraudulent use.
Audience measurement cookies (with your consent)
These tell us which pages are viewed, for how long and in what order. These statistics help us improve the content and usability of the website. We use Google Analytics 4.
Advertising and social media cookies (with your consent)
These allow us and our partners to:
-
measure the effectiveness of our campaigns (how many people saw or clicked on an ad, then requested a brochure or made a booking);
-
show you CroisiEurope ads on other websites and social networks, based on the cruises you have viewed;
-
limit the number of times you see the same ad.
If you refuse them, you will still see ads online, but they will no longer take your browsing on our website into account.
Google Consent Mode
Our Google tools run in “Consent Mode”. If you refuse cookies, no Google measurement or advertising cookies are placed. However, Google receives technical signals without any identifier (for example: a page was viewed, a form was submitted), which are used to produce overall statistical estimates. These signals cannot be used to recognise you from one visit to the next.
Our partners
No cookie requiring consent has a lifespan of more than 13 months. Audience measurement data is kept for a maximum of 25 months, then deleted or anonymised.

The detailed list of cookies and their lifespans can be viewed at any time from the “Cookie preferences” panel.
How to manage your choices
With our cookie banner
On your first visit, a banner lets you accept all cookies, refuse them all, or choose category by category. Refusing is as easy as accepting, and refusing does not prevent you from using the website. Until you make a choice, only strictly necessary cookies are placed.
Your choice, whether you accept or refuse, is stored for 6 months. We will then ask you again.
You can change your mind at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing your consent is as easy as giving it.
With your browser
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Note that blocking all cookies may prevent some features from working, such as logging in to your account. If you delete your cookies, your saved choice is erased and the banner will appear again.
With advertising platforms
The Your Online Choices platform, run by the European digital advertising industry, lets you opt out of targeted advertising from many companies in one place. You can also set your ad preferences directly in your Google and Meta accounts.
If several people use the same device
Cookies are linked to a browser, not to a person. If your device is shared, the content and ads displayed may reflect another user’s browsing.
Cookies and personal data
If you are logged in to your account or have given us your contact details (brochure request, newsletter, quote), we may, with your consent, link your browsing to this information. This allows us, for example, to send you offers for the cruises you have viewed. You can object to this at any time, free of charge, using the unsubscribe link in each email or by writing to us.
We do not buy browsing data from third parties to combine with your personal data without your prior explicit consent.
How we process your customer data (purposes, retention periods, recipients) is detailed in our Privacy Policy.
Transfers outside the European Union
Some partners (notably Google, Microsoft, Meta and HubSpot) may process data in the United States. These transfers are governed by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and the French Data Protection Act (loi « Informatique et Libertés »), you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data. You may also set instructions for what happens to your data after your death.
To exercise these rights, contact our Data Protection Officer:
-
by email: dpo@croisieurope.com

If, after contacting us, you believe your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority.
Updates to this page
This page may change, in particular when we add or remove a partner. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page. If there is a significant change, we will ask for your consent again via the banner.
