NEW IN 2016 : From Berlin to the heart of Prague on board the MS Elbe Princesse

Berlin–Magdebourg–Wittenberg–Meissen–Dresden–Litoměřice–Prague

From spring 2016, it will be possible to cruise year round from Berlin to the heart of Prague along the Elbe and Moldau (Vltava) rivers with the launch of CroisiEurope’s MS Elbe Princesse.

This innovative ship follows in the footsteps of sister ship, the MS Loire Princesse, and has been designed using advanced paddle wheel technology which will allow it to navigate year round in the lowest waters of the Elbe – something that vessels with regular propulsion are unable to do.

The new generation ship is 95 metres long and 10.5 metres wide, with two decks and two paddle wheels on the back. It has 40 spacious outside cabins and can accommodate 80 guests in maximum comfort offering WiFi, air conditioning and heating, flat screens, hair dryer and safe. There is also a panoramic restaurant that can accommodate all guests for single-service dining, a welcoming lounge bar with a central dance floor and a large sun deck with chairs. The stylish décor in contemporary colours is in perfect harmony with the warm and convivial atmosphere onboard.

Thanks to its size, this new ship will be able to berth in the heart of towns near historical centres which is a key selling point. From April 2016, it will visit iconic destinations and sites such as Berlinl; Potsdam and the Sans Soucis Park; Wittenberg, town of Luther, Meissen and its porcelain; Dresden, the Florence on the Elbe; Elbsansteingebirge, with its natural and architectural wonders; Litomerice, one of the most beautiful cities in the Czech Republic; and Prague, the mythical golden city.

The Elbe Princesse will be built in the prestigious shipyard of Saint-Nazaire.

With its fine fleet cruising on the loveliest rivers in Europe combined with this new and innovative ambitious project, CroisiEurope continues to demonstrate its creativity and dynamism in river tourism after 38 years in the business.
